With more than 70 years of continuous development experience, Quadtrac Series tractors have helped farmers achieve greater work productivity under demanding conditions. As part of a strong heritage, Case IH pioneered the high-horsepower, 4-track, continuously variable transmission for articulated tractors (CVXDrive). Today, these achievements have been complemented by the most comfortable and connected cab, benefiting from the latest telematics applications - AFS CONNECT.
Every year for the past 70 years, Case IH has had a model in its portfolio: 'the world's most powerful tractor in series production', consistently, ever since Douglass Steiger invented the first articulated tractor. For the past 30 years, Case IH has rebuilt the Steiger articulated tractor, upgrading it with a unique, manufacturer-invented, 4 independent triangular track design they call the Quadtrac. In the first 20 years since then, Case IH has held the patent on this 4-track articulated tractor concept.Quadtrac technology has been refined and improved several times since then and to this day.
The Quadtrac features a unique tracked system with a reinforced chassis on 4 independent, triangular, vertically oscillating, longitudinal, vertically oscillating tracks, guide rollers to provide guard and protection for the tracks and hydraulic suspension on the intermediate rollers, all with Clear-View maintenance. The 4 tracks provide a constant ground contact surface of about 6.2 m². Based on a total weight of 25 tons, the tractor exerts a ground pressure of 0.5 kg/cm².
At the same time, Quadtrac tractors mold effectively to the ground, depending on soil firmness. This is also an advantage in soft, boggy soil conditions with large areas of puddling. It has been tested and used in floods, in arctic areas, in snow and icy surfaces, in temperatures below -50°C, in the desert, in war and operation theaters, in harsh conditions. It can run on road surfaces, with minimal track wear, at speeds in excess of 50km/h and can tow very large machines and industrial equipment.
With a maximum power output of 778 hp, the new Quadtrac 715 AFS Connect is the most powerful tractor ever produced by Case IH and the world's most powerful tractor in series production. It's powered by an industry first, the new FPT Cursor 16L TST engine. It won the "Tractor of the Year 2025" award in the HighPower category for models over 300 hp at the EIMA 2024 International Agricultural Machinery Exhibition EIMA 2024 in Bologna, Italy.
With more power, efficiency and comfort, plus built-in advanced precision technology, the farmer can maximize production potential and return on investment while reducing fuel consumption, working hours and stress.
